How it works
If they identify suspicious activity on your card, a representative will contact you to confirm the transactions. If they are unable to confirm your transactions with you, your card may be blocked to prevent possible fraudulent activity.
The CCCU fraud detection service will never ask for complete account information. They will ask to verify only a piece of the information that can ensure they are speaking to the actual cardholder and not a clever fraudster. You may be asked to verify a portion of a birth date, Social Security number, address or other piece of information only you should know.
If you have been contacted by a representative and do not wish to provide confirmation of your transactions with them, you may contact a CCCU Service Representative at (702) 228-2228 (in Las Vegas) or (800) 748-6885, Option 3 during regular business hours.
To report your card lost or stolen after hours, please call (866) 238-5312.
Enhanced features for your Visa card:
- Purchase Alerts - Receive text and/or email notifications whenever your card is used. What's great about this feature is that you determine when you get notified. Some people like to be notified every time their card is used. Others, when an online purchase is made or when the purchase is over $500. It's up to you. Go to the Visa website to set your preferences.
- Visa Account Updater (VAU) - This service updates card information at participating merchants should your card information change. If you use your debit or credit card to pay for recurring fees, VAU may save you time and help you avoid the hassle of updating card information. For more information click here.
- International Travel Notification - When you travel outside of the US, notify CCCU. We will help facilitate card use within your travel country. At the same time, any card present (the physical card is being used at a store or restaurant) transactions outside of that country will be blocked. Card not present (online or over the phone) transactions will be monitored normally.
