Community Involvement

The credit union’s philanthropic committee, CCCU Cares, focuses on key values of Caring, Community, Compassion and Unity as the group supports our local Clark County community. In addition to community outreach, volunteer hours and financial support, the credit union also encourages education with its Smart Start scholarship and our financial education programs.

Sponsorship and Donations

CCCU is committed to our local Clark County community especially the long-time member groups at the credit union such as the medical industry and city and county employees. The employee-led Cares committee organizes programs and opportunities for staff to volunteer with local nonprofits and assist the underprivileged or underserved. While the committee actively looks for groups to support, they do accept requests for financial support from time to time.

We passionately support initiatives that focus on our Select Employer Groups (member groups at the credit union), the underprivileged or underserved communities/groups, and youth services especially those in the medical field.

We are unable to support:

  • Travel expenses
  • Uniform expenses
  • Scholarships
  • Equipment expenses
  • Any type of free/activity cost

Requests for support must be submitted with a Sponsorship/Donation Request Form and any supporting documents. Please allow 2-3 weeks for a decision. For additional information click the Sponsorship Guidelines button below or email: cccucares@ccculv.com.

Smart Start Scholarship Program

CCCU’s scholarship program is part of an ongoing effort to help our members realize their financial goals and dreams through education.

The goal is to encourage ambition and reward merit in CCCU-member students and to help them go on to higher educational opportunities. Open to graduating high school seniors or those who are currently enrolled in a state-accredited college or university, the scholarships are awarded once per year.

Applications are typically accepted starting in the early Spring. Notifications are sent to members via the member newsletter and member email. For additional information, email: smartstart@ccculv.com
