How does Clark County Credit Union protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. How does Clark County Credit Union collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you:
  • Open an account or use your credit or debit card
  • Provide employment information or apply for financing
  • Make deposits or withdrawals from your account
We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies. Why can’t I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only

Definitions

Affiliates: Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
  • Clark County Credit Union has no affiliates.
Nonaffiliates: Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
  • Clark County Credit Union does not share with our nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint Marketing: A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Sharing Information with Credit Union Affiliates

The Credit Union is affiliated through full or partial ownership with various service organizations. All of these companies are dedicated to working together to provide the products and services that you want. All of these companies meet the same stringent requirements to protect your privacy as the Credit Union. We may also share information from your applications with other companies that assist us in providing an array of services, such as check printing, investments and insurance, and data processing companies. These companies might, for example, assist us in offering you certain products and services or help us mail statements. These companies act on our behalf and are required to keep the information that we provide to them confidential. We do not sell our member lists to catalogs, direct mail companies, magazines or other non-financial service providers.

Other

Information may be exchanged with credit bureaus and similar organizations, provided when legally required or permitted, or in connection with a fraud investigation. If we receive a subpoena or similar legal process demanding release of any information about you we will generally attempt to notify you unless we believe we are prohibited. We do not collect personal identifying information about visitors to our Internet site. Individual visitors to the Credit Union’s web site remain anonymous. Opt-Out Process

We believe you should have the right to decline disclosure of personal information that is collected on our databases. The records for those individuals who request that their personal information not be used for future mailings or phone calls will be marked in our database so that their names will be excluded from any contact in the future. This will exclude the member’s name from all direct mail campaigns and any phone research or telemarketing campaigns from the Credit Union or its companies.

Request for Removal from Special Mailing Lists

The Credit Union and companies affiliated with the Credit Union are permitted by law to share among one another any information about the transactions or experiences with you.
