ATM Deposit Tips
If you make deposits at the ATM, here are some valuable tips to make sure your deposit is credited timely and accurately:
- Write your account number on BOTH the envelope as well as on the back of each check. This helps makes sure everything posts to the right account.
- Endorse your checks properly. Sign your name or write "For Deposit Only" with your account number.
- Your deposit will be credited to the account and suffix you select on the ATM screen regardless of what you write on the envelope.
- Limit the number of items in a single deposit envelope to twenty (20). More than twenty can cause the machine to jam causing you and anyone who comes after you frustration. This includes both cash bills and checks or combination of both. If you have more than twenty, please do multiple deposits.
- Don't put coins in the deposit envelope. It may seem like a couple of pennies aren't a big deal, but they can do severe damage to the machine.
- ATM deposits are placed on hold until they can be verified the following business day. In certain cases we may hold your checks longer. This is in accordance with our hold policy, which is posted at the ATM and on the deposit envelope.
- We can't accept third party checks through the ATM. If you are depositing a check made payable to someone else we will not be able to process your deposit which may cause delays to other items you've deposited.
